Coast Imagewear DTG Printing Process

Step 1 Choice Of Garment
Direct to Garment Printing works best and lasts longer on clothes made of 100% ring-spun cotton.

Step 2 Pre Treatment
This prepares the surface on your garment so the white ink can adhere to it. Then it is heat-pressed to dry before printing.

Step 3 DTG Printing
We upload your approved image, place your shirt in the DTG machine, and print it out. It’s that simple and straightforward!

Step 4 Curing
After printing, the ink is dried and firmly attached to your garment using an industrial heat-press curing process

What Is Direct to Garment (DTG) Printing?

Screen Printing
In screen printing, a mesh screen, ink, and a squeegee are used to transfer a stencilled image onto a flat surface.
Custom Printing
Custom printing offers a design and print option that defies traditional printing. It is tailored to your specific needs, allowing you to print various sizes and die-cut shapes for a distinctive appearance.
Direct to Film Printing
Direct to Film (DTF) printing involves printing directly on a film and transferring it onto a fabric or other substrates using a heat-press device.
Sublimation Printing
Coast Imagewear offers in-house sublimation printing up to 400mm wide. Sublimation printing is a long-lasting print that produces bright full-colour images. This sort of print will never break or fade and will outlive the garment in most cases. Only 100% polyester light-coloured clothes can be sublimated in-house. The minimum order quantity is 20, with a 6-8 week turnaround time.

Why Choose DTG Printing
Why DTG Works Best on Cotton
Cotton provides a good surface for the print to cling to and will guarantee that your garment will have an outstanding and long-lasting print. If you want the greatest results, use 100% Combed Cotton. However, if you prefer a balance of comfort, don't go below 80% cotton.
What Our Process Looks Like
After placing your order and receiving your final approval, your image will be uploaded by our operator to a printing software. The operator will remove the backdrop if it is specified in your order. Your garment will then be placed in our cutting edge DTG machine after pre-treatment and printed to your specification. Our DTG prints can be delivered on the same day or within 7-10 days!
It can be difficult to choose a printing method along with the ideal piece of clothing.
